Okay! Okay! y’all need to read this, see me oo… one Tuesday like after work, i quickly headed to church because i had choir rehearsals. After being dropped off by dad…the rehearsals hasn’t started yet yaayy! lucky me..i was d first! So while i chilled abi i waited inside my choir master’s office ( don’t worry the man na married man, because i know wetin una wan ask me).

There was this show, they were actually showing on TV and the program host….infact first of all, dem vex me because before the show they were showing this gospel music video i have been dying to watch…and they just cut it short πŸ˜₯ “THERE IS GOD ohh!!!”. Anyways that’s a story for another day, Ehen! as i was saying the program host, introduced this lady, even before introducing her he was just hyping the lady..saying she is popular, her CD’s are among the fastest selling in the world….(N.B: i no even sabi this woman).

Well……they showed her video, the title of the song (RED CARD) don already tell me wetin i go expect, as usual dem do the video for “obodoyibo”..i won’t lie the video was whack! even you sef, u for vex. And i began to wonder..wetin even make sense for this video, that this program host was jus hyping dust? or was he scared of hurting her, or is it because e no wan lose e job ni? Well..i just ended up laughing and repeating the lyrics of the song.

But! one thing i discovered or rather concluded is that…we humans are fond of over_hyping things that are not “all that”…for example when Davido’s AYE came out chai! social network no rest, it was by force and compulsion i downloaded that music with my phone of blessed memory πŸ˜₯ RIP, i listened to the song, although the song is nice and cool..but it didn’t really fit into people’s description, i even prefer Iyanya’s Lekwakwu sha.

But please humans! learn to say the truth, even if d person vex….The vexing is just for a moment but laughter comes in the next moment. Let us stop over hyping unnecessary and irrelevant things……Oshey! MIgwo! etcccc….#Signingout

This One’s On You… #BringBackOurGirls

A whole life ahead of them

A whole world of opportunities

Waking up that morning, going with the norm

None was aware of what the day held

Had they known, home, that day would’ve been better off

But they were unaware

They went in head first

Some happy, some with mixed feelings

It was a daily phenomenon

Nothing out of the ordinary

That is, until they struck…

Weeks have gone by

Of their whereabouts we are unsure

Their state of being, even more troubling

But we are not letting go

We are not ignorant to their pain

It’s a matter I’ve battled not to think about

But I find myself in its line of thought anyway

A word of prayer is all I can offer

And just that I do

So My Father

This one’s not on President Jonathan

He didn’t create these ones

He doesn’t know what You…

Bring US BACK!!

Just as the sun brought forth its light
So was a joy inexpressible felt.

I was happy…reasons being that i was going to see my sisters (Friends)
We’ve been away from each other for too long
But, finally we all are going to meet again.

The happiness i felt, when i saw one of my closest friend…Aishat
We hugged for a very long time, and started chatting about the holidays, while we waited for other girls..and the bus taking us back to school.
The other girls cameΒ  too, and some of them i knew joined me and Aishat in our lil chit-chat.

Soon, it was time to leave, we got up!! dusted our uniforms, because we have been sitting on the bare floor.
We said our prayers, in different languages, while the bus moved on.
Our convos still continued, gossips made the bus so lively, funny jokes were told by one of the girls named Rahmat.

Slowly, the bus gradually became quiet, because some of the girls had slept off
Aishat my close friend rested her head on my laps, while she slept.
I was also dozing off, when suddenly our bus suddenly stopped in a violent manner
Most of us sleeping, woke up! wondering what had happened.

Before we knew it, we saw armed men, who covered their faces ordering all of us to come down from the bus
They carried sophisticated weapons, some of us where shedding tears.
While they led us into the bush, to an unknown destination….
All i could do was whisper a prayer to God that we all won’t die.
As i looked at my friend Aishat, with tears straming down her face, we couldn’t say a word, but our hearts spoke.

Soon afterwards, they seperated us, they took me away from my sister..Aishat
I struggled, I kicked, i used my teeth, but these men were stronger.
Was i ever going to see my sister and my friend again?? What will become of her??
What will become of US?? Where were these men taken us to??
No one had this answers.

I need to see my sisters again…i need to tell her it was all a dream
I need someone to get me out of this bush or wherever i was
I want to go home.

Pls find us!! Pls take us back to our homes
We are tired!! There are no more tears to shed, because we are weak!

Help me find and bring back my other sisters!! My heart is bleeding…Please help us!!
